Sorry, I’m sure you’ve heard that word all too many times in the last few months. The thing is; it’s true.
At 12:01PM EST Our country ushered in a new era of leadership. An era that a large portion of us feel very positive about. While this won’t be used to express my political views, you can’t help but feel a new vision, direction, and yes “change” is upon us. At the moment Barack Obama took his oath of office, a small part of that change was already taking place; when now President Obama’s (Man that feels good to say!) version of whitehouse.gov went live.

The new site has the same fresh, airy feel that both barackobama.com and change.gov had. The typography, imagery, colors and usage of whitespace allow the site feel very current and inviting, especially for a government website.
Here’s how the site looked earlier in the day.

I bought my iPhone the first day it was available, stood in line, waited for the Apple Store employees to let us through the doors and plunk down (at the time) $599. When the iPhone 3G was released, I decided I’d stick with my original. It still works great, it hasn’t taken too many bumps, plus I prefer the silver backing over the black or white choices of the 3G. Read Full Post »

In the recent weeks, since the launch of this version of my site, I received a ton of feedback. For that, I’d like to say thank you. Keep it coming. This site is forever a constant evolution in design.
I’ve recently had the honor of being showcased within various design communities, CSS galleries, and “inspirational” design sites around the web. Some of those include:

With this design I hoped to capture Chris’ creativity, mixed-media background and friendly personalty.

I recently read an interesting blog post by fellow designer, Tyler Hayes. The topic of the post was regarding music he listens to while working. I was motivated to write up my own list of music that inspires me. I love finding new music, so please leave some recommendations in the comments. Read Full Post »

Today is a day of great importance. Today is the 2008 United States presidential election. Today is the day that we as US citizens decide who will lead our country. No matter what the outcome, this election is groundbreaking.
I voted this morning at 7:45AM. The entire process took less than 10 minutes, it was almost too easy. Today marks the third presidential election that I have taken part in. Whether it’s your first or your fifteenth, I urge you all to let your voice be heard.
Take part in this election. Take a picture. Remember this day, for it is a historic event.
